I was really impressed with the value I got for my money-the room was spacious and beautifully decorated.
Breakfast delights could use a bit more variety in the pastries.

Good dishes, central location in almost the centre of the CBD. A minute walk from an Australian & international art museum and other tourist attractions. Top-class & a nice size unit on top floors. Delicious breakfast with a good choice of choice. The pool area is lovely too. No charge for wake up service, ironing, and local calls too.

review: Truly enjoyed the unique decor and friendly staff during this visit, with highlights like the complimentary mini bar and cozy gowns available for use. The rooftop pool area was a refreshing morning treat, although some noise from the streets was noticeable. Great location for exploring nearby attractions! , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-05-15}

Proximity to city centre Winter breakfast menu was really great.
Very noisy. The hotel offers ear plugs when you arrive which you need for the construction noise starting at 6am and the yahooing drunks at 3am. The rooms are dimly lit The rooms need overhauling. All a bit tired really

Centrally located. Really liked the Flinders Lane vibe. Very helpful staff especially for securing a table at Movida at the last minute.

My wife and I stayed for two good nights to celebrate our wedding, and the experience was special. The staff was friendly, offering thoughtful gestures throughout our stay. Our room was stylish and clean, featuring a comfy bed and a fantastic shower. The breakfast was delicious, and we loved the constantly replenished snack bar with good chocolates. The location was perfect, with everything we wanted just a short walk away.
I recommend this hotel.

Was upgraded to a deluxe room which was a good size with a great bathroom. The pool looked fantastic but I did not use it. Very comfortable bed. A portacot was provided and staff happy to help with warming a bottle up for the baby.
Thought it was quite expensive for what it was and breakfast not included in the rate. Blinds in room a bit shabby and could not be opened to allow for natural light. I also had a double pram and there were 10 -15 steps to access the hotel from the street.

Amazing location, and meals were amazing!!!
The room was brand-new and good quality with towels and a bathtub in the functional bathroom. Location: the hotel was so close to restaurants shops and retail shops and all the AMAZING restaurants in Flinders Lane and all major attractions and transport hubs.

The room had a funky design, but the plumbing made it hard for a warm shower.

Good location. Friendly staff. Nice big room (we paid the extra) Even though it is only about 15 years old there is a certain nostalgic charm about the overstyled decor ...
... but basically it is becoming very dated, very fast and the little charm it has does not compensate for those aspects that are plain uncomfortable (such as the couches many other reviewers commented on) and the attempts to keep its style current (such as the new artwork in the lobby) are woeful. However, it is the little things that count and even the bad couches and art would be acceptable if the Adelphi paid attention to the little things to ensure one's comfort ... but they don't. for example: Scratchy sheets (felt like they'd been starched) Big continental pillows shoved into conventional pillowslips so that they were as hard as rocks The blinds on all 4 windows were broken so that you couldn't open them. The bedside clock was so bright you could have read a book by it which was useful because the bedside light was so dim you couldn't and it's switch was so high above the bed you couldn't turn it off without sitting up and stretching to reach it. There were many other little things (the leaky shower, the oddly positioned tap in the bath, the exorbitant charge for wifi, the terrible cable TV choices, the door closers that ensured that every door slammed, etc) but before I run out of room I must comment on the breakfast. First, there was the huge TV showing one of the 'Morning' shows at full volume. Then the chaos began. With 5 tables with 2 guests at each the 2 staff managed to deliver the wrong meals to every table in the room. My partner had finished his breakfast and it had been cleared away before my reheated omelette arrived. Many people have said the Adelphi needs a makeover. I would be happy to see the poor old place preserved as a relic of the 1990's if only they also attended to some of the basic principles of comfort and really paid attention to good design rather than superficial (and now out dated) style.

Concierge gave us a great dinner recommendation and the bed was very comfortable. Tidy and generally well-kept. Location is very convenient - close to the main shopping areas and a number of great shops and restaurants. Best part of the hotel.
Pool was advertised as being heated but was ice cold - yes we tried! Though construction was noted across the street (and we decided to book anyway as I've always wanted to try it) they are also renovating the bar above the pool deck which wasn't mentioned anywhere, not even their own website. There was significant noise throughout the day, probably made worse by the fact that our room was precisely below them. Luckily we decided to be out a lot but it was intrusive.
